Practice

A student-Athlete cannot be an athlete if you are failing.  Participating in a scholastic sports program is a privilege, not a right.  The coaching staff will periodically check your academic progress by utilizing Progress Book & your interim report.  If a student-athlete falls below a 2.0 GPA, then there will be consequences.  We will continue to utilize study tables on Monday & Wednesdays, from the end of the school day to 3:00pm.  This gives you the opportunity to meet with a teacher, catch up on homework or study for a test.  Make sure you have something to do.

Grades

The Tallmadge High School Wrestling Program Rules are very simple; follow the student-athlete code of conduct.

In-addition: Be Where You Are Supposed To Be, Be There When You Should Be, Do What You Should Be Doing and Treat Others As You Would Like To Be Treated.

Team Guidelines and Rules

The Tallmadge High School Wrestling Program is designed for the student-athlete who wants to participate & excel in folk-style wrestling, at the high school level.  Our goal is to train the student-athlete in the fundamentals, intermediate and advance levels of folk-style wresting.  In-addition, improve athleticism, health, goal setting, hard-work, achievement, dedication towards a team and the enjoyment of participating in a varsity high school sport.  Not only will these skills enhance the student-athletes' ability to continue their academic & athletic careers at the next level, but ultimately improve their chances for success in the real world.
